The England manager Expresses Disappointment Over Home Fan Atmosphere Despite Comfortable Wales Victory.

The England head coach shared his regret that the England team did not get more support from the home crowd during their impressive triumph over Wales on Thursday night.

The manager was satisfied to see his squad continue their winning momentum, with goals from Rogers, Watkins, and Saka inside the initial stages deciding the match. Yet, he was unhappy with the energy at the national stadium.

“We had one and a half training days to get ready against a well-trained team and we excelled,” the coach commented. “It could have been five goals ahead at the break. We couldn’t score the fourth and fifth ones. The stadium was silent. There was no support back from the stands. We did everything to win.”

“What more can you provide in the first quarter? We prevented them escape. When you only hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s regrettable because the squad warranted better encouragement today.”

“I stand by this statement. We cannot do more than being 3-0 in a rivalry match. I would have wished for a little more backing in moments where it gets difficult.”

“In the second half, to get behind us, there was a bit too much support for Wales. It might have aided us to recharge, but it is what it is and so be it.”

Selection Choices Justified by Display

Away from risking a dispute among fans, the manager also raised eyebrows by omitting Bellingham and Foden from his squad. Yet the move was backed up by Morgan Rogers delivering another standout performance in the attacking midfield role and scoring his maiden goal for his country.

“He plays his game,” Tuchel noted. “He is a No 10 and he is vying for his spot.”

Bellamy Hopes for Lessons from Loss

The Wales manager hopes that his team, who face a strong Belgian side in a key qualifying match on Monday, improve after their awful performance in the opening period.

“This is why I wanted this match,” the manager stated. “I wanted to assess where we are. What are our ambitions? Who do we want to be? Today fills me with inspiration.”

Fitness Worry for Watkins

Watkins was withdrawn at the break after clattering into a goalpost and is a concern when England play their next opponents in Riga in a qualifier on Tuesday.
