Unveiling an Unique Steam Game Trial: Playing as a Turdy Character with the Goal to Arrive at the Toilet

Steam Next Fest is in full swing, and enthusiasts have discovered numerous interesting creations from small studios. Yet, one catches the eye for its offbeat concept. Named Unko Technica, this retro-inspired platformer features a character that is literally a dung trying to navigate to a commode. As a fun fact, "Unko" translates to "poop."

Player controls is straightforward: just use a jump control. In one hundred fifty challenges, you'll face tough enemies and visit a shop to buy skins for your dung hero.

Execute your movements carefully, since one error forces starting over. Jump using bubbles to propel your character upward, traverse fragile ledges, and touch switches to reveal hidden paths. Earn UN-KOINS and use them on challenging levels as gameplay ramps up.

In terms of design, the game features eye-catching stages and a killer music score. Its minimalist art with morphing abstract forms may remind fans of old favorites like Earthbound.

Although tough to think of previous releases where you play as a piece of feces, gaming frequently featured fecal matter. For instance, in Death Stranding, you can craft throwables from protagonist excrement. Examples include Palworld and Ark: Survival Evolved employ feces as soil enrichment. And of course, such content is present extensively in Obsidian's South Park RPG The Stick of Truth.

Regardless of its goofy premise, Unko Technica has already earned impressive recognition, like taking top honors at Bandai Namco's GYAAR Studio in 2023. A playable preview is accessible currently on Steam, with the final release planned to arrive on Steam on November 19.
